The meeting is held according to Jesus’ request to do this “In remembrance of me” 1 Cor. 11:24,25
With thanksgiving and praise, we worship God the Father through the Holy Spirit for His mercy, love and grace. The focus is on the Son of God who came to the earth for the purpose of dying and paying the debt of sin for each of us.
The meeting consists of members of the assembly remembering Christ’s life which He freely gave over 2000 years ago, in which He instituted a feast shared with His disciples by partaking bread (which signifies The Lord Jesus Christ’s body that was willingly given and sacrificed for all)
After the bread has been broken, thanks is given for the wine. It is then poured, and given to members of the assembly, in which it symbolizes The Lord Jesus Christ’s blood that was shed on the cross. Each emblem is passed around and taken by members in the assembly.
SEATING
For this meeting, we sit facing the emblems;
the bread and the cup.
The focus here is not on any one member, but on our collective enjoyment and remembrance of Christ.
We share the bread & wine around the circle as we enjoy our common blessings in the Lord.
We also have seating areas for those who are not members of the assembly, but who wish to observe.
HYMNS & PRAYERS
Throughout the meeting, various men who are members in the assembly will lead in worship and prayer, as they meditate, remembering and reflecting on The Lord Jesus Christ of His willing sacrifice on the cross.
DONATIONS
After the bread and wine are passed around, an offering is then taken. Those who are members of the assembly contribute on a voluntary, weekly basis.
No collection will ever be taken from any visitors or community at any of our meetings.
A triumphal song of praise, a short lesson, some announcements and a closing prayer will usually end the meeting.
We invite you to watch the meeting unfold and would be happy to meet with you afterwards to discuss what you’ve seen and heard.
